Test House Facility

Our final assembly and test house is without doubt the envy of our competitors. We have a dedicated and custom built facility which houses a 30 tonne overhead gantry crane, exhaust stack with adaptors for different engines, a safe viewing area for witness testing and removable walls to enclose the set in order to raise the ambient to simulate tropical temperatures. A fixed outside radiator and flexible hoses allow us to simulate test of sets which will be supplied with remote radiator.

We can test directly up to 5MVA with our own resistive and reactive load bank and at LV and HV voltages up to 11,000V. A multi-tapped transformer allows us to select voltage 3.3kV, 6.6kV and 10kV, as well as full 11kV.

During colder months or during the longer routine running tests, the readings can be sent via intranet to a laptop and overhead projector, so that witnessing can be carried out in the comfort of the main office.

Smaller sets are tested using mobile Resistive load banks which are also used for on site load tests during installation or servicing.
